Since Halloween is just a week away, Denver is getting into the holiday spirit so we have a special Halloween version of our Weekend Happenings. Don your best costumes and head out to take advantage of all the activities!
It’s the 30th annual Boo at the Zoo! Taking place both Saturday and Sunday from 9AM-5PM, they will have over 25 trick or treat stations, animal demonstrations (we’re excited about the penguin feeding!), and family-friendly entertainment. Don’t miss out on this annual event, and make sure you dress up! Check out their schedule here.
From 11AM-3PM, head over to Northwest Denver for the Highland Haunt. Admission is free, and there will be trick or treating, a costume parade and contest, live music, food trucks, a raffle, and much much more. There is the option to purchase a $7 all-inclusive activities pass that gets you access to a hayride, bouncy castle, face painting, carnival games, and more. It’s an event that will be fun for the entire family! Check out more on their website.
The Halloween celebrations continue into Sunday with Hauntings at the Hangar. Taking place from 12-4PM at the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, the museum will be transformed into a haunted hangar with Sci-Fi characters, treats, carnival games and magic shows. Wear your costume, get your face painted, and make sure to have fun! Click here for more information.
The Trick or Treat Train is running over the weekend! Head to the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden and hop aboard the train in your Halloween costumes. It will be led by conductors that are dressed up in the holiday spirit, and you can stop at attractions along the route, including a haunted railcar, a pumpkin patch, and an old graveyard. This takes place both Saturday and Sunday, and you can read more about it here.
