Pat Ayers of RE/MAX of Cherry Creek Earns Certified Distressed Property Expert Designation
DENVER – Pat Ayers, a leading broker associate with RE/MAX of Cherry Creek, has earned the prestigious Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation from the Distressed Property Institute. Ayers successfully completed extensive training in foreclosure avoidance and short sales. With this invaluable expertise, she can help those currently facing impending foreclosure by assisting with short sales and other alternatives to avoid foreclosure.
Short sales allow the cash-strapped seller to repay the mortgage at the price the home sells for, even though it is lower than what is owed on the property. This can save many people from foreclosure and even bankruptcy. More and more lenders are willing to consider short sales because they are much less costly than foreclosures.
“While I certainly have the expertise in short sales, I much prefer getting together with clients prior to that alternative,” said Ayers. “There is help for anyone facing a challenge and I am eager to assist homeowners with ‘distressed’ properties. There are homes in nearly every price range facing foreclosure in the metro Denver area, including luxury homes, so no one is immune. It is so rewarding to be able to help sellers save their homes from foreclosure. I also understand market conditions and can help sellers through the emotional experience.”
Ayers earned her real estate license in 1984 and is the managing partner of one of the area’s top-producing teams at RE/MAX of Cherry Creek. She holds the Graduate Realtor Institute designation recognizing the successful completion of stringent continuing education courses in real estate. Ayers is involved with several non-profit organizations and recently served as a board member of Kepner Education Excellence Program (KEEP), a group that subscribes to conquering generational poverty through a multitude of approaches. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and American University’s graduate program.
